Sir Rod Stewart’s sweet family update as rock legend welcomes fourth grandchild

On Monday (March 3), Sir Rod Stewart’s family announced the arrival of his fourth grandchild, born to his son Liam and wife Nicole. The couple, both 30, already parents to a son Louie, 21 months, took to social media with an eagerly awaited update about the newborn’s first week at home.

Among the carousel of images, Nicole shared a heartwarming selfie of herself cradling her daughter Elsie Skylar Stewart, alongside Louie, who posed sweetly for the snap. The second post, a black-and-white video of the sleeping baby, was just as adorable and had fans flocking to the comments with support and well-wishes. Taking to the caption, the new mum of two issued a grateful update as she thanked her “village” for rallying around.

Nicole penned: “Blessed with my babies. It really does take a village.

“So grateful for my mom @tinaartukovic and sisters @heyiiitslucy @marysa_artukovich for all the meals prepped and brought over this past week + taking Louie for a little extra TLC with his cousins while I rest and got back on my feet.

“Postpartum can be soo hard. From the hormone plunges, the unimaginable breastfeeding pain, the pure exhaustion..so many highs and lows.”

She added: “I couldn’t do it without @discostew94 + my village. Thanks for keeping me sane in my first week as a mom of two under two!”

One of Nicole’s followers commented, “This is everything! My heart is so full for you.” Another added: “Oh so sweet! Just the most precious baby and brother.”

As a third gushed: “Such a beautiful family.” While a fourth gushed: “2 under 2, you are a hero with super powers!!”

Rod’s wife and Loose Women star Penny Lancaster was among the fans and commented: “Sending lots of love.”

Baby Elsie’s name is a sweet tribute to Rod’s mother, Elsie Gilbart, who died in 1996 at the age of 91. Her middle name, Skylar, is also a tribute to Nicole’s niece, who died in June 2024.
