NLL: Saskatchewan Rush lose first game of the season

The Saskatchewan Rush dropped its very first game of the season with a 12-11 overtime loss to the visiting Philadelphia Wings on Saturday night at SaskTel Centre Arena.
Saskatchewan slips to 3-1 this season in the National Lacrosse League. Philadelphia improves to 3-1 in the standings.
Holden Cattoni netted the game-winner for the Wings at 1:35 of extra time after the Rush forced overtime with three unanswered goals in the fourth quarter.

Mike Triolo scored four goals for Saskatchewan in the loss, while newcomer Brock Haley had four points with a goal and an assist. Zach Manns added a goal and assist. Clark Walter and Ryan Barnable, each with a goal and two helpers, Jake Boudreau, Jake Naso and Josh Zawada also scored for the Rush.
Frank Scigliano made 37 saves in the loss.
Already without star forward Robert Church due to injury, Saskatchewan was also missing forward Austin Shanks and defenceman Adam Jay because of illness. The team did welcome back Connor McClelland into the lineup after he was activated from injured reserve.
RUSH HOUR: Coming up next, the Rush will host the Las Vegas Desert Dogs (0-4) at Co-op Field in SaskTel Centre on Saturday, January 11 at 7 p.m.
