Latest Manchester United news as Paul Pogba tipped to make a shock return to football in England
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is ‘in talks’ to make an appearance in the six-a-side football tournament Baller League in the coming weeks.
Pogba, 32, is currently without a club after leaving Juventus in December. The midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs since then, including a shock return to Old Trafford.
A move is more likely to happen in the summer transfer window, but, according to internet sensation KSI, Pogba could be set to return to football in a new way.
Baller League is a six-a-side football tournament that has arrived in England this year with the likes of John Terry, Micah Richards, Luis Figo and Gary Lineke
The tournament has teams of former professional footballers, futsal stars and current non-league footballers all playing in London. As part of the rules, teams are permitted to include one wildcard player each week to improve their team.
And on Monday night, during a live segment of commentary, KSI revealed how talks had been held with the former United star to be signed as a wildcard for a future gameweek.
Asked for the one realistic wildcard he would love to see in Baller League, he said: “Pogba. He’s a free agent. We do [follow each other on social media] and we are in talks.”
Pressed on which team he would join, he added: “It depends on who he wants but I feel like, a player of his calibre, would have to play for a team at the bottom.”
